From off-the-Strip local favorites to bottomless brunches, local experts recommend several spots to start your day. Here are seven favorites to discover.

Located within walking distance of the Downtown Container Park outdoor shopping mall, chef Natalie Young’s Eat exemplifies the creative rebirth of downtown Las Vegas.
Andrew Kiraly, editor of Desert Companion, a southern Nevada lifestyle magazine, describes the menu as “really rich, decadent but innovative – and sometimes adventurous – breakfast food.” His go-to order is the huevos motulenos, a Yucatan-style egg dish with chilies, black beans and sauteed bananas. “It is a big, messy, rich dish that I would definitely recommend.”
The restaurant serves breakfast and brunch dishes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and until 2 p.m. on weekends.

For a fancier take on breakfast, the tableside butler-style brunch at the Wynn Las Vegas’ La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway is fun. “Butler-style” means you'll enjoy the endless eats of a buffet, but you won’t have to leave your seat because small plates will be brought to you. Some favorites include the cornflake-crusted brioche French toast and the $28 option to add bottomless cocktails.
La Cave's butler-style brunch is only served Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“Their eggs Benedict is to die for,” says Tina Matson, head concierge at the Bellagio Las Vegas, adding that Veranda offers special brunches for holidays like Mother’s Day and Easter, making it the perfect destination for celebrating. Plus, you can enjoy your breakfast poolside at this Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas restaurant.
Breakfast is served daily, but local experts rave about the weekend breakfast buffet – offered Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – where the main attraction is the fresh doughnut machine.

For “breakfast food with an Irish twist,” Doug Ward, former chief concierge at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Delano Las Vegas, noshes at this Irish pub located in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place. You’ll find unique dishes such as omelets filled with corned beef, and the breakfast boxty – eggs scrambled with Irish bangers and red pepper, then wrapped in a potato crepe and slathered with cheddar cheese and hollandaise.
Breakfast is available weekdays from 8 to 11 a.m., and weekend brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rí Rá The Irish Pub also serves afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and scones daily at 11 a.m.

If your morning is a no-go without a cup of joe, Kelly Messina, senior director of leisure sales for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, advises that you journey downtown to Makers & Finders, a coffee bar serving up Latin American-inspired breakfast entrees. From a kale chorizo omelet to a coconut tres leches waffle, the menu offers several crowd-pleasers, including choices for vegans. But, for Messina, the main attraction is the plethora of bean and brewing options. “It is a coffee drinker’s heaven,” she says. And, tea lovers can appreciate the generous tea bar.
The coffee bar opens at 7 a.m., Monday through Saturday. It serves Sunday brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This Off-the-Strip gem located on the west side of town (and one of my personal favorites). Featuring a fusion of Jamaican and southwestern flair, DW Bistro goes big and bold with dishes such as jerk-fried chicken and waffles, but Sheckells recommends the chicken flautas or chilaquiles – two eggs, white corn tortillas and shredded chicken with an avocado tomatillo sauce. For something lighter, stick to the nicoise salad.
Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and until 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Thomas Keller, best known for his landmark Napa Valley restaurant The French Laundry, serves up indulgent pastries and classic French bistro dishes at Bouchon Bistro, his outpost at The Venetian Las Vegas. You can enjoy breakfast or brunch on the patio and “forget you’re in Las Vegas,” says Carol Styles, concierge at The Venetian Las Vegas and The Palazzo Las Vegas. “The three-inch flaky quiches are works of art on a plate that you just can’t wait to devour. Even the steel-cut oatmeal there tastes decadent.”
Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and brunch is served Friday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
